Anti-Micro$oft!
While I generally don't have a huge problem with most of their products, such as Windows XP, Word, etc, I DO have a problem with is their business practices, eg, selling bug-ridden software that is often little better than a beta version, forcing people to use their software through underhanded means, using poor business practices to bludgeon the opposition into bankruptcy, forcing you to pay for support for their buggy software, and so on, and so on.

I've also had a few people email me to ask why I don't simply use another operating system. The unfortunate answer is that every bit of software that holds any interest for me has the label on the side that states it requires Windows to work. So I'm stuck. There is ways to run Windows software on the Linux OS, but they are not reliable enough yet I think.
I'd REALLY like to see Linux and/or BeOS well supported and used - Here's hoping!

Some Alternatives -

Internet Browser - www.opera.com  Opera is a great browser, and is far more configurable than the other popular two. It's also quite a lot faster and crash resistant. Firefox is also very good.

Flight Simulator - www.x-plane.org  X-Plane is a very good product, but is not so fussy about system requirements and is far easier to use. The aeroplanes also fly noticably better than Flight Sim 200#.  It also comes with an excellent aircraft & world builder program.

Email - www.eudora.com  I find Eudora much easier to use than Outook in every way.

HTML Creator - www.nvu.com  NVU has a very good & simple to use HTML composing program, and it's free.

Operating System - Linux is rapidly gaining popularity. It's far more crash-proof than Windows and cheaper as well. It is often not quite as easy to use as Windows though.

How about some nice wallpaper? Click on the pic on the left to download these four 800x600 wallpapers. (They're in JPG format, convert to BMP & resize if required)

Here's a electron microscope view of a silicon chip that someone made in a lab as a joke. The story goes that the boss found out and the employee got in trouble over it! On the right is the new & more efficient M$ keyboard, as it's got the keys you need the majority of the time.

For a somewhat more articulate & detailed analysis of  the poor performance, standards, and quality of M$ products, please check out - What is the problem with Microsoft?

Another good page of anti-M$ humour can be found here, courtesy of the Windows95 Annoyances pages. There's also the new Windows98 Annoyances page as well.
